Those were some of the things on Folly’s list. What would you take? Don’t be like her and forget a hat. And a pen and notebook might be nice, to write down stuff that happens and your thoughts at the end of each day or for little sketches.
Remember to travel light. I once went on a three-day horse trek. There were four of us riding and we took along a big grey gelding called Bob to carry the gear. On the day we were set to leave one girl showed up with a huge bag of clothes. We started loading Bob, being careful to balance everything evenly so he’d be comfortable, but when it came to the clothes bag he must have thought, Really? because he put his head down and bucked the whole lot off! Our style queen had to rethink her wardrobe.
